Hurricane Damage in LeCayes and Jeremie
My recent trip to LeCayes and Jeremie to survey the hurricane damage has left me so disheartened. Hundreds and hundreds are living under the stars!! Their poorly constructed homes are in piles of rubble on the ground. One family we met was living under a tree, and I’m sure there are hundreds more just like them. Other families who fortunately know someone whose house is not on the ground pile into a small corner to sleep the night. Jeremie and the western part of the peninsula look like a total wasteland—and there is no help from the government!! ONLY GOD!!!
Please, please, please pray—and may God help us do as much as we can to ease their pain and suffering!!
