God’s Work at Camp Bossier

Posted on August 4th, 2016

We thank the Lord for a spirit of peace that prevailed at Camp Bossier this year. The Lord blessed us with 63 professions of faith and assurances of salvation – not to mention a host of other decisions. The preaching was strong, decisions were intense, and prayers were sincere. Here are a few testimonies.

This is the first time in my life to come to a camp. This camp brought big changes in my life. The first big change came the first day. I found Christ as my Savior. A want to say a big thank you to Pastor Salomon.

I accepted Christ previously at Bossier but I failed to persevere. This week brings a lot of change to my life and my desire is to stay on the right road for the rest of my life.

I rededicated my life to God this week. I cleansed my heart by deciding to move myself away from the influence of wrong music and wrong films. I want to find the pearl of spiritual maturity. Please pray for me.

This week the camp impacted/changed my spiritual and moral life. My wrong behavior and attitudes are revealed to me and are changing now. Also, I learned this week that I have great value in God’s sight.

We want to thank you, our donors, for the eternal investment you made into these lives!!

Our two grandchildren, Emma Grace and Harrison Jimenez, and their two friends, Holly and Steven Drake, did a great job with the crafts at the first week of camp. They contributed also in the evening services by singing a special song each night. Harrison and Steven played soccer with the boys during free time, and the girls organized several big games of Uno and Connect 4 with the campers. They had a great time, and I’m sure this trip will stay in their memory for many years to come. Thank you for your prayers.

Another camp for Pastor Salomon

Pastor Salomon has always carried a burden for his hometown village of Charles in the North. He has had a couple of Bible schools there with great success. This year he has decided to do a week of camp for ages 8-15 from August 15 – 19. He is borrowing a small facility and is preparing for about 200 young people. This type of outreach is a little rare in that part of the country. We know it will be a big hit and bring forth spiritual fruit for the Kingdom. Please pray for the spiritual success of this camp.

Radio Matching Pledge Has Been Met
Many, Many Thanks!

God has faithfully supplied the matching funds for relocating our transmitter to the top of the mountain to reach the entire Southeast. The construction will begin as soon as a frequency situation is resolved. Since there are so many radio stations in Jacmel, our signal often suffers from much interference. Please pray that this situation can be resolved as soon as possible. Our desire is to broadcast without constant interruptions.

Last but not least – Pastor/Senator Dieupie needs a lot of prayer as he and his colleagues deal with a complex political impasse in the parliament. They will be no presidential election until this settles.

Our thanks to God for each of you,

Tom and Sarah Bennett
