Statement of Faith
-
Inspiration of the Scriptures
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and the infallible Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:20, 21)
-
Godhead
We believe in a Triune God, co-equally existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14)
-
The Person and Work of Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man. (John 1:1, 2, 14) He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. (Luke 1:35) We believe in His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice and His resurrection from the dead for our justification. (I Corinthians 15:3, 4; Romans 5:9; Ephesians 1:7)
-
The Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe that it is the work of the Holy Spirit to convict men of their sin, to in-dwell all believers, and to seal them unto the day of redemption. (John 16:7, 8; Ephesians 1:13, 14)
-
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross. (Ephesians 2:8, 9)
-
Creation
We believe that God created all things in six days (Genesis 1:1), and created man in His own image. (Genesis 1:27)
-
The Fall of Man
We believe that sin entered the world through the disobedience of one man (Romans 5:12), and that all have sinned. (Romans 3:23)
-
Satan
We believe that Satan is a real being, an enemy of God, the author of sin, the cause for the fall of man, and the accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:9, 10), and is doomed in the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:10)
